Glossary

Conventional English has devolved to facilitate communication about the world as defined by Empire. Although I've tried to stick to standard English, this glossary is intended to clarify the specific meaning I attach to important terms used on this site and in my writing. These terms fall into a category I call "Naming Earth Community."

One of our essential tasks in liberating ourselves from the cultural trance of Empire is to learn to decode the Orwellian language of Empire. For example, Empire would have us believe that economic growth,.which makes money for rich people, actually creates wealth for all. Similarly, it would have us believe that plutocracy, rule by people of wealth, is democracy. These terms fall into the category I call  "Decoding Empire."
